我 sits down at my desk, took a deep breath and started to write. The words began to flow as I remembered the beautiful scene of that day. My dad was still sitting in front of me, occasionally glancing at his watch.
As I wrote on, my dad’s frowns turned into smiles. He knew that I had found my inspiration and was making progress. After a while, he stood up and patted my shoulder again.
I looked up from my paper and smiled back at him. With renewed confidence, I continued writing until the evening when the sun dipped below the horizon.
Finally, after many hours of hard work, I finished writing my essay about springtime memories with love and passion pouring onto each sentence. My dad read it over with pride in his eyes.
“I did it,” he said softly as if to remind himself too that sometimes all we need is a little push or encouragement to achieve our goals.
The next day when school reopened for us students who were working diligently on their essays would share their completed works with others proudly saying “I did it.”
